sorry, can't think of a good subject line!

what i am trying to do looks like this (forgive the graphics!)
Code:

-------------------------------
|  a                          |
|                             |
|      ----------------       |
|      |b             |       |
|      |   --------   |       |
|      |   |c     |   |       |
|      |   |      |   |       |
|      |   |      |   |       |
|      |   -------|   |       |
|      |              |       |
|      ----------------       |
|                             |
|                             |
-------------------------------

where:

a is the image that the user drags around
b is the only part of that image that is shown to the user (the outside of b is hidden)
c is the "cropping box", this is just a graphic sitting on top to signify where the crop will happen

so basically the user can drag (a) around the screen but (a) is clipped so that only a small proportion of it is shown (although that proportion is larger than the "croping box")

i basically have it working . it is simply a matter to making (a) a draggable image and putting a graphic (c) over the top as a static image.

what i can't get working is the clipping of (a) to the size of (b) - something in the wz_dragdrop code is resetting any cliping i set.

does anyone have any idea?

many many thanks in advance
john

If you're using the wz_dradrop.js class to roll your own kind of cropping interface, then it might be best to ask Waltern Zron (the creator of the javascript) why the clipping issues are occurring. He might be able to answer for you. Alternatively, if you can't figure out why then you could always compensate in the clipping in the my_DragFunc and related methods, I suppose.
